THE BOOK
Dirt Grenades is the culmination of a 6-year project that began after my father and I spoke one Father’s Day. After preaching together at Friends Church Yorba Linda, several people suggested that our legacy stories should be in a book. I recall my father-in-law in particular lovingly pressing the issue. This is the result of that prompting.
Collaborating with my father, I have sought to faithfully retell his stories, as well as share our own memories, and the lessons we all have learned. My wife Robin and I have shared our family stories at camps and conferences and have discovered that our journey and our heritage are very rare. Although our story is unique, the principles behind them are not – they are applicable to any parent and any child.
We have the gift of several generations of faith… but someone had to be the first. So whether you have seasons of great parenting behind you on not, we believe this book will inspire and equip you to parent intentionally as you navigate your own Dirt Grenades.
